Levenseller was a sixth round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders of the NFL in 1978. Levenseller was t raded to Buffalo in 1978 and also had tryouts with Tampa Bay and Cincinnati before signing with Edmonton. After one season in Edmonton, Levenseller was traded to Calgary in June of 1983 for QB Greg Vavra.
